The Bormio SL is Torelli's standard lightweight wheelset at 1510gms per pair! All Bormio wheels are handbuilt. The rims are put in a jig to check for concentricity and trueness before the wheel-build begins. Torelli uses Pillar spokes, the finest and most expensive spokes made in Asia. Bormio wheels come in 2 versions. Bormio wheels use flat aero spokes as pictured. The Bormio SL wheels sold here have triple-butted round spokes. The triple butted spokes make for a slightly lighter, better riding wheel than the aero spokes. Hubs are sealed bearing with a serviceable cassette body. Rims are 440 grams with machined braking surfaces.
