Time to ride!
There are a lot of great groups to ride with in the University Place/Tacoma area. Here is a list of just a few of the local clubs. There is a good chance that at least one of these groups is right for you! Check out the offerings, and feel free to join a ride or two to check it out!
Spoke & Sprocket Cycling (The 'Spokies')

Sunny days are here again!
Our recreational club rides every Saturday morning. Meet at the shop at 7:45 and leave at 8:00 during the summer. We usually ride for 3-6 hours depending on weather and schedule of group members. There is also often a small group that cuts the ride shorter, usually about 2-3 hours or so. Pace is a fast recreational pace. We typically average about 18mph for the ride and usually go faster on the flats. The group will usually regroup at the tops of the hills and major intersections. Come join us!
May 2009: Our Wednsday evening rides have started up again. During the summer we will be doing rides every Wed night leaving from the shop at 6pm sharp. Join us for a brisk couple of hours of great riding!

Winter club ride on Fort Lewis
Saturday 'Steady State' ride.
For those who are looking for a ride at a more moderate pace Gene Smith leads a Saturday morning ride that averages a steady 13-15mph. The group has a firm commitment to not drop any riders, but may split up in order to accomodate differing paces. This is a great place to learn to ride in a group. Rides meet most Saturday mornings at 8:45 and leave at 9:00. Call the shop (253-564-1422) to confirm ride dates.
